About Us

ShootersFC was formed in the 09/10 season.

We have tried to focus on player and coach development rather than a win-at-all-cost attitude. The club is completely run by volunteers and is a not-for-profit organisation, so all monies raised go back into the club for development and benefit of the players.

This season we have been fortunate to secure the following sponsorship S Rae Ceramics, Amport & District Coaches, Britax, Bravehearts Charity, SBC Ltd, Andover Forktruck Services, John Dollin Printing Services Ltd, Tree Tops and Infinity Care and their contribution helps to secure the future of the club by purchasing kit and equipment.

We welcome players from age 5 and have secured links to seniors sides to ensure players have a direct pathway from children to adults so they can continue to improve their mental, physical and social well-being.
The club has teams participating on a Saturday in the Testway Youth league or on Sunday in the Peter Houseman Youth league.

We are privileged to say that our home ground is Wherwell Playing Fields and we are the envy of many clubs as this venue is well known to be a first class facility for football.

We have pitches for 5 v 5, 7 v 7, 9 v 9 and 11 v 11. Wherwell also has a pavilion with toilets, changing rooms and a kitchen where the club often supplies hot food and refreshment during the winter months. Training varies depending on the team and age group but is held at Charlton, Wherwell and Winton.

The club also encourages teams to participate in other community events and have regularly participated in the Andover Carnival, Jamie G Sports Festival and various school fetes.
